Bis ich die Karte, die ich Euch heute zeige, machen konnte, ist viel Zeit vergangen. Über ein Jahr! Aber schlussendlich wurde alles gut.

Hello everyone!

It took a long time until I was able to finally make this card, that I'm sharing with you today. More than one year! But in the end it all turned to good. 

Es ist natürlich nicht so, dass ich über ein Jahr an dieser Karte saß. Aber ich hatte nach jahrelangem Suchen das Admit One Set in einem spanischen Shop entdeckt. Nach einem Fehlversuch samt bezahltem Lehrgeld, einem Hilfe-Aufruf in der LawnFawn FB-Gruppe und vor allem der Hilfe einer ganz lieben Dame aus Deutschland mit einer Freundin in Spanien hielt ich das Set dann nach 14 Monaten tatsächlich in meinen Händen. Und es musste sofort eingeweiht werden!

Familie Maus hat sich zu einem Familienausflug in einen nahen Freizeitpart gemacht. Und die Cousins Hennrietta die Henne und Bobby Bunny haben Wind von den Plänen gekriegt und so lange gebettelt, bis sie mit durften.... Und sie sind genau richtig zum alltäglichen Feuerwerk eingetroffen. 

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück weißen Cardstocks, den ich mit Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral, Saltwater Taffy, Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner und Black Soot gewischt habe. Nun sieht es so aus wie die letzten Momente des Sonnenuntergangs. Auf die dunkleren Farben habe ich dann etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

Of course it didn't take me more than a year to actually make this card. But after years of searching for the Admit One stamp set I discovered a spanish shop that still had it in stock. After trying to order it from Germany, that failed miserably including some lost money, I cried for help in the LawnFawn FB group and due to the help of a german lady with a friend in Spain I finally really held the set in my hands - after 14 months! And of course I had to use it right away.

The Mouse family took a trip to a nearby fair and cousins Henriette the henn and Bobby Bunny heard rumors about the plans and begged until they were allowed to come, too. They all even made it there right in time for the daily fireworks!

The background is made from a piece of white cardstock, that I inked with Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral, Saltwater Taffy, Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner and Black Soot. Now it looks like just the last minutes of sunset. Onto the darker areas I splattered some white acrylic paint.

 

 

 Auf den Himmel habe ich dann mit den Fireworks Hot Foil Plates und silber-glitzernder Folie das Feuerwerk auf den Himmel foliert.

Quer darüber habe ich meinen Text aufgeklebt - unten auf der Karte war einfach kein Platz dafür. Der Text aus dem Stempelset Hay There Hayrides ist mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst, dann habe ich ihn mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

 

 I used the Fireworks hot foil plate and some silver glitter foil to foil the fireworks onto the sky. 

Across the sky I adhered my text - there simply was no room for it at the bottom of my card. It's from the Hay There Hayrides stamp set and white heat embossed onto black cardstock. Then I adhered it with some thick foam tape.

Als Boden für meine Szene habe ich auf den unteren Teil des Cardstocks dann einen Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks geklebt. Den habe ich zuvor mit silberner und schwarzer Metallic Watercolor sowie weißer Acrylfarbe bespritzt, damit der Boden etwas Struktur hat. Und darauf befindet sich dann der Vergünungspark samt allen Besuchern.

Maus, Henne und Hase fahren gerade die dritte Runde auf dem Karrusell und Onkel Maus steht schon mit den nächsten Tickets bereit. Die Maus auf Mamas Arm dahinter ist noch zu klein und hat stattdessen einige Luftballons bekommen. Und links seht Ihr Martha Maus, die sich einfach in keines der Fahrgeschäfte traut und stattdessen eine große rosafarbene Zuckerwatte bekommt.

Die Mäuse auf der Karte sind aus den Stempelsets Fly High, Garden Mouse, Dandy Day, Bubbles of Joy, Merry Mice, Hay There Hayrides Mice Add-On und Happy Couples. 

 

 As a ground for my scene I adhered a strip of black cardstock onto the bottom half of my cardstock. To give the ground some structure I splattered silver and black metallic watercolor and some white acrylic paint onto it. And on top of it I put all the elements for the fair.

Mouse, henn and bunny are just doing their third round on the merry-go-round and uncle mouse already bought the tickets for the next round. The mouse on her mom's arm just behind him is too little to ride anything so she got a bunch of balloons instead. And on the very left there's Martha Mouse. She's so anxious and simpyl doesn't dare to go on any of the rides. So instead she asked for one of those large pink cotton candies.

The mice on this card are from the sets  Fly High, Garden Mouse, Dandy Day, Bubbles of Joy, Merry Mice, Hay There Hayrides Mice Add-On and Happy Couples.

 

Die Henne kommt im Set Hay There Hayrides und der Hase im Hay There Hayrides Bunny Add-On. Von Anfang an dachte ich, diese Tiere, die eigentlich als Fahrer für den Traktor gedacht sind, müssten doch super auf die Karussell-Pferde passen. Und ja, tun sie! 

 

The henn is from the Hay There Hayrides set and the bunny comes in the Hay There Hayrides Bunny Add-On set. When I saw the merry-go-round image closely I was sure, that these animals, that are designed to drive the tractor, should fit those carousel horses perfeclty. And they kind of do! 

 

Das Karussell und das Riesenrad sind aus dem Set Admit One, die beiden Verkaufsstände aus den Sets Wheelie Great Day und Coaster Critters. In dem Set findet man auch das Ticket, die Zuckerwatte, die Schrift auf den Verkaufsständen, die Luftballons und die Achterbahn. Alle Motive habe ich mit Copics coloriert und dann per Hand ausgeschnitten. 

The merry-go-round and the ferris wheel are from the Admit One set, the two selling boths from the sets Wheelie Great Day and Coaster Critters. In this set you can also find the ticket, the cotton candy, the text on the booths, the balloons and the roller coaster. I colored all images with Copics.

Zum Zusammensetzen meiner Szene habe ich dann, bis auf hinter der Achterbahn, dann wieder 3D Tape - dünn, dick und aufgedoppelt benutzt. Und weil in einem Vergnügungspark immer alles so toll glitzert und funkelt, habe ich auch noch einige Elemente auf der Karte mit Stickles beglittert.

Ich weiß, auf der Karte ist - mal wieder - extrem viel los. Aber ich finde, dadurch dass ich nur rot, weiß, braun, schwarz und grau sowie ganz dezent ein paar türkisfarbene Akzente verwendet habe, passt trotzdem alles toll zsuammen. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles noch auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

To put my scene together I used foam tape - thin, thick and doubled up - behind every image except  for the roller coaster. And since everything at those fairs is glittering so wonderfully I brought out some Stickles and added it to a few of the elements.

I know, there's once again a lot going on on this card. But I think since I only used reds, white, browns, grey, black and a little bit of turqoise the card isn't too overwhelming.

As the last step I just glued my card panel to a white card base.

Die Karte, die ich Euch heute zeige, ist bereits Anfang März entstanden. Ich kann sie Euch aber erst jetzt zeigen, denn es war die Geburtstagskarte für eine meiner Töchter....

I made this card already beginning of march. But I wasn't able to share it with you earlier becaues it's the card I made as a birthday card for one of my daughters...

 

Die Idee zur Karte kam mir während der Inspriation Week von LawnFawn, wo Chari ebenfalls eine Karte mit "Partygemüse" gemacht hat. Ich habe das ganze abgewandelt, aber die Grundidee fand ich einfach zu klasse. 

Basis hier war die Foursquare Backdrop Stanze, die ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt habe. Die Hintergründe  der einzelnen Rechtecke habe ich dann noch aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt und dafür Farben benutzt, die ich auch für mein Gemüse verwendet habe. Die Hintergründe habe ich mit Distress Inks ein wenig schattiert und außerdem weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt.

I had the idea for this card during LawnFawn's inspiration week, where Chari also made a card with "party veggies". I changed it up but the main idea was just too good a fit for my daughter.

I used the Foursquare Backdrop die as the base of my card and die cut it from white cardstock. The small rectangles inside the frames I die cut from colored cardstock, using colors I also used to die cut my veggies. I inked shaded the backgrounds a bit with Distress Inks and added some splatter with white acrylic paint.

In den oberen Fenstern befinden sich eine Karotte, eine Paprika und ein Blumenkohl. Alle Gemüse auf der Karte sind mit den Sets Stitched Garden Veggies und Stitched Root Veggies aus farbigem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich sie mit den Distress Ink Farben Rustic Wilderness, Seedless Preserves Picked Raspberry, Rusty Hinge, Antique Linen, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed, Lumberjack Plaid und Wild Honey etwas schattiert. 

Auf jedes Rechteck habe ich im Hintergrund die Partygirlande aus dem Set Virtual Friends Add-On aufgehängt, jeweils in einer anderen Farbe mit Copics coloriert. 

Den Blumenkohl fand ich nur gewischt nicht so toll. Also habe ich mit Copics noch kleine Punkte aufgemalt, so wirkt er besser, finde ich. In diesem Feld befindet sich auch das Schild aus dem Build a Crate Set. Auf das habe ich mit dem Henry Jr.'s ABC Set das Wort Veggie aufgestempelt - das wollte ich einfach größer auf der Karte haben.

In the upper two windows there are a carrot, a bell pepper and a cauliflower. All the veggies on this card are made with the Stitched Garden Veggies and the Stitched Root Veggies sets. I die cut them from colored cardstock and then used Distress Ink Rustic Wilderness, Seedless Preserves Picked Raspberry, Rusty Hinge, Antique Linen, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed, Lumberjack Plaid and Wild Honey to shade them.

I glued a party banner from the Virtual Friends Add-On Set onto the background of each window, each colored in a different color.

The cauliflower didn't look right to me with only the ink blending. So I used my Copics to add some little dots and I like it way better like this. In this window I also added the sign from the Build a Crate set. I stamped the word veggie with the Henry Jr.'s ABCs set onto it - I just wanted this to be larger.

In den unteren Fenstern sind ein Radieschen, eine Rote Bete, eine Tomate und eine Zwiebel zu sehen. Bei der Zwiebel habe ich mit einem gelb-braunen Polychromo einige Linien als Zwiebelschale aufgemalt. Hier habe ich auch das Grün "aufs Gesicht" gelegt, denn ich wollte den höheren Trieb rechts haben. 

Einige der Gemüse tragen Partyhüte, die aus den Stempelsets Hats Off to You, Year Nine und Party Animal sind. Sie sind ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert.

Und in jedes Fenster - bis auf das zweite mit dem Schild - habe ich eine Sprechblase mit Textteilen aufgeklebt. Die Sprechblasen sind aus dem Set All the Speech Bubbles, der Text in ihnen ist aus dem Set How You Bean? Strawberry Add-On. 

In the lower windows I put a radish, a beetroot, a tomatoe and an onion. 

I used a yellow-ish brown Polychromo to add some fine lines to the onion. I also used the green on it face down because I really wanted the longer part to be on the right side.

Some of the veggies are wearing party hats, that are from the sets Hats Off to You, Year Nine and Party Animal. I put some Stickles onto them.

And in each window - except for the second one with the sign - I put a little speech bubble with the rest of the text stamped on. The speech bubbles are from the set All the Speech Bubbles, the text from the How You Bean? Strawberry Add-On.

Den weißen Rahmen habe ich mit 3D Tape auf schwarzen Cardstock geklebt und dann die dekorierten Rechtecke hineingeklebt. Auf ihnen sind alle Elemente direkt aufgeklebt, nur hinter die Sprechblasen habe ich wieder etwas 3D Tape gesetzt.

I used foam tape to adhere the white frame to some black cardstock, then glued the decorated rectangles into the windows. I glued all the elements directly to the cardstock, just behind the speech bubbles I put some foam tape again.

Stampcorner Mai-Release Sneak #2

Heute habe ich ein weiteres Sneak auf das Mai-Release von Stampcorner für Euch. Diesmal zeige ich Euch diese süße Maus in der Teetasse.

Today I have another sneak of the may release by Stampcorner for you. And this time I am presenting you this cute little mouse in a tea cup.

Bei dem Motiv war natürlich klar, dass auch der Rest der Karte irgendwie mit Tee zu tun haben soll. Und so ist diese eher in sanften Tönen gehaltene Szene vom nachmittäglichen Kaffee- äh Teetisch entstanden.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich den Quilted Backdrop von LawnFawn aus hellgrauem Cardstock gestanzt. Der erinnert mich ein wenig an eine Tischdecke. Da ich die Teekanne hauptsächlich weiß halten wollte, wäre weiß auch für den Hintergrund zu viel gewesen. Hinterlegt habe ich den grauen Cardstock dann mit ganz hell-lila farbenem Cardstock, den man durch das Muster im Cardstock sehen kann.

Mit einer Rautenstanze habe ich etwas mehr als die Hälfte einer Raute aus blau-lila und weiß kariertem Designpapier gestanzt. Längs aufgeklebt sieht es ein wenig aus wie eine herabängende Tischdecke. Und die gehört zu so einer Teestunde natürlich dazu.

With this image it was clear that also the rest of the card has to be some kind of tea related. And so I created this szene from grandma's coffee - äh tea time using quite soft colors.

For the background I die cut the Quilted Backdrop by LawnFawn from light grey cardstock. It reminds me of a table cloth. Since I wanted to use mainly white for my tea pot, white for the background would have been too much. I put some light purple cardstock behind the grey background, that now shows through the pattern.

Using a diamond die I die cut a bit more than half of a diamond from blue-ish purple and white checked patterned paper. Glued down horizontally it kind of looks like a table cloth hanging over the edge of a table. And of course you need one of these for your table at tea time.

Die Teekanne habe ich mit der Stitched Teapot Stanze von LawnFawn gemacht - aus dem Set sind auch die anderen Accessoires wie z. B. die Blumen.

Ich habe die Teekanne aus weißem Cardsdtock gestanzt und einige Teile wie den Henkel, den Deckel und auch den unteren Rand nochmal aus lilafarbenem Cardstock. Den habe ich auch verwendet, um die Papier-Enden der beiden Teebeutel, die aus der Kanne hängen, zu stanzen. Alle Teile habe ich mit Copics etwas schattiert. Die Blumenmitten und die Schnur an den Teebeuteln habe ich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt.

Vor der Teekanne steht die Teetasse mit dem kleinen Hasen. Ich trinke - außer Früchtetee - jeden Tee mit Milch, deswegen ist mein Tee in der Tasse hellbraun ausgefallen. Die Tasse habe ich mit passend zur Teekanne in lila und weiß coloriert, den Hasen dann in hellen warmen Grautönen. 

I used  the Stitched Teapot die set by LawnFawn to create the teapot - from this set come also all the accessoires like the flowers.

I die cut the teapot from white cardstock and additionally die cut some parts like the handle, the lid and the lower brim from purple cardstock. I used the same shade of cardstock to die cut the paper ends of the teabags hanging out of the teapot. I shaded all pieces with Copics. The flower centers and the strings of the teabags I die cut from black cardstock.

In front of the teapot there's the teacup with the little bunny. Since I drink every tea - except of fruit teas - with milk the tea inside the cup here looks a light brown. The teacup I colored so it goes with the teapot, using purple and white. For the bunny I've chosen light warm greys.

Der Text auf der Karte ist aus dem Tea-Rriffic Set von LawnFawn. Ich habe ihn weiß auf lilafarbenen Cardstock - ich habe hier einen dunkleren Ton gewählt - embosst. Aus dem selben Cardstock habe ich dann noch die Buchstaben für das Wort TEA gestanzt. Ich mag so kleine Wortspiele ja wahnsinnig gerne. Für die Buchstaben habe ich das Finley's ABCs Stanzenset von LawnFawn benutzt und jeden Buchstaben dreimal gestanzt.

Und weil die Karte oben links etwas zu nackig war, habe ich hier noch ein "du fehlst mir" aus dem Set Kleine Worte von Stampcorner untergebracht. Auch das ist weiß auf lilafarbenen Cardstock embosst. Dass hier ein Mix aus deutsch und englisch auf der Karte ist, stört mich gar nicht. 

The text on this card is from the Tea-Rriffic stamp set by LawnFawn. I white heat embossed it onto purple cardstock, using a darker shade of purple here. From the same cardstock I also die cut the letters for the word tea. I love little puns on my cards. To die cut the letters I used the Finley's ABCs die set by LawnFawn and die cut each letter three times.

And since the card was a bit naked in the top left I added a "I'm missing you" text here. Again I white heat embossed it onto purple cardstock. And it doesn't bother me at all that there's a mix of german and english texts on this card.

Zum Aufkleben des Motives sowie der Textstreifen habe ich dünnes 3D Tape verwendet.

Als Deko habe  ich dann noch einige Blümen auf der Karte verteilt und außerdem Teetasse und -kanne ein wenig mit Stickles beglittert. 

Zum Schluss habe ich alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I used thin foam tape to adhere the image and the text strips.

I added a few flowers as decoration and also put a bit of Stickles onto the teacup and teapot. 

Then I glued my card panel onto a white note card.

Make a Wish

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Kartenbasteln ist mein Hobby, und so kommt es doch recht häufig vor, dass ich Karten bastle, einfach weil ich gerade die Idee dazu habe oder weil ich Lust darauf habe. Viele davon stapeln sich dann einfach in meinem Zimmer. Teilweise, weil sie so für kaum eine Gelegenheit nutzbar sind. Ich bin sicher, da bin ich nicht die einzige. Aber ich versuche, vermehrt Karten zu machen, die man auch brauchen kann - Geburtstagskarten zum Beispiel. Das bedeutet jetzt nicht unbedingt, dass ich die dann auch benutze, aber der Wille ist da. Und so zeige ich Euch heute eine Geburtstagskarte mit Pusteblumen. 

Hello everyone!

Cardmaking is my hobby, and so it happens quite often that I make a card just because I have the idea for it or feel like making it. Many of them just pile up in my room. Some of them because they can hardly be used for the typical occasions we send cards (if at all). I am sure, I am not alone here. But I am trying to make more cards that I can actually use - like birthday card. It doesn't necessary mean that I actually will use them, but it's the thought, that counts. And so I am sharing a birthday card with some poof balls with you today.

Ich finde ja, dass florale Motive, richtig eingesetzt, durchaus auch für Männerkarten gehen. Und so ist diese Karte universell einsetzbar. 

Ich habe hier eine der Stained Glass Window Stanzen von WhimsyStamps aus einem Stück schwarzen Cardstocks gestanzt. 

Dann habe ich ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock durch Ink Smooshing mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina eingefärbt. Die Ränder habe ich dabei abgeklebt, so dass sie weiß geblieben sind. Diesen weißen Rand sieht man später rund um den schwarzen Cardstock. 

I think, floral images, used the right way, absolutely work for men's cards as well. So this birthday card fits both men and women. 

I used one of the Stained Glass Window dies by WhimsyStamps and cut it form a piece of black cardstock. 

Then I did some ink smooshing on a piece of watercolor cardstock using Distress Ink Salvaged Patina. I put some tape around the edges of the cardstock to make sure they stay white. This white edge is what you see around the black cardstock later.

In die tollen Pusteblumen aus dem Big Wishes Dandelion Set von WhimsyStamps war ich sofort verliebt. Ich habe sie hier erst mit NoLine Coloring Ink von InkOn3 auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und mit Copics die Stiele, Blätter sowie die Mitten der Pustelblumen coloriert. Die "Stiele" der Samen habe ich mit einem grauen Fineliner nachgemalt. Und dann habe ich nur die Teile, die die "fluffigen" Teile der Pusteblume stempeln mit Versamark eingefärbt und mit Silver Pearl Embossingpulver embosst. Dank des Mist ja kein Problem, genau die selbe Stelle wieder zu treffen. Das Embossingpulver verdeckt hier dann auch die Stempeltinte, die, obwohl sie so hell ist, trotzdem ein wenig sichtbar ist.

Anschließend habe ich das Motiv ausgeschnitten.

I immediately fell in love with these poof ball images from the Big Wishes Dandelion set by WhimsyStamps. Here I first stamped them with NoLine Coloring Ink by InkOn3 onto white cardstock and colored the leaves, stems and centers of the poof balls with Copics. The "stems" of the seeds I re-drew with a grey fineliner. And then I inked only the "fluffy" image parts of the poof balls with Versamark and embossed them with some silver pearl embossing powder. Thanks to the Misti it is no problem to stamp in the exact same spot again. The embossing powder covers the stamped lines, that are still a bit visible, even with the ink being so light.

Then I cut the image out with my scissors.

Der Text ist mit Stempeln aus dem Offset Sayings Birthday von LawnFawn gemacht. Sie sind mit weißem Embossingpulver embosst - der kleiner Text auf einen schmalen Streifen schwarzen Cardstocks, den großen Text direkt auf den schwarzen Cardstock, aus dem ich das Fenster gestanzt habe. Dabei habe ich das I aus Wish maskiert und durch einen Pusteblumensamen, genauso coloriert/embosst, wie auch die großen Pusteblumen, ersetzt. 

The text is made using stamps from the Offset Sayings Birthday set by LawnFawn. I white heat embossed them - the smaller text onto a thin strip of black cardstock, the large text directly onto the black cardstock that I had cut the window from. I replaced the I in the word Wish with a dandelion seed, that I colored/embossed just like I had the poof balls.

Könnt Ihr das silbrig-schimmernde Embossingpulver, das ich für die Pusteblumen verwendet habe, hier erkennen?

Ich habe den schwarzen Cardstock mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Watercolor Cardstock mit dem Ink Smooshing geklebt, dorthinein dann die Pusteblume. Die Stiel-/Blattenden habe ich hinter das Fenster geschoben, die Blumenköpfe mit dickem 3D Tape hinterlegt. Auch den schmalen Text, den ich quer über das untere Blatt geklebt habe, habe ich mit 3D Tape hinterlegt, ebenso der einzelne Samen, der als I im Wort Wish fungiert.

Zum Schluss habe ich als Deko noch einige klare Pailetten aufgeklebt.

Can you see the silver-shimmery embossing powder I used for the poof balls?

I used thin foam tape to attach the black cardstock to the watercolor cardstock I did the ink smooshing on, then put the flowers into the window. The ends of the stems/leaves I tucked behind the window, the seed heads I adhered with thick foam tape. Also the small text strip, that I glued across the bottom leaf, and the single seed that is replacing the I in the word Wish are attached with foam tape.

As a finishing touch I added a few clear sequins.

Stampcorner Mai-Release Sneak #1

Der Mai ist nur noch ein paar Tage entfernt - und mit ihm kommt hoffentlich nicht nur der Frühling zurück, sondern auch all die fleißigen Bienchen, die durch den Garten summen. Und dann gibt es wieder leckeren Honig. Bis dahin findet Ihr den auf dieser Karte, mit der ich Euch ein Sneak auf das Mai-Release von Stampcorner gebe.

Hello everyone!

May is only a few days away - and it will hopefully not only bring back spring, but also all those little bees, that fly around in the garden. And then we'll have fresh honey soon. Until then you can find it on this card, that is my first sneak of Stampcorner's may release.

Der Hintergrund hier ist eher einfach gehalten - und wenn ich die fertige Karte jetzt so ansehe, fehlen mir die Farbspritzer doch....

Ich habe den Save the Bees Hintergrund von ModaScrap aus einem Stück weißen Cardstock gestanzt. Den habe ich dann mit einem Stück Watercolor Cardstock hinterlegt, das ich per Ink Smooshing mit Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey und Rusty Hinge eingefärt habe. Die Farben waren noch auf meiner Glasplatte vom Einfärben des Honigglases übrig und ich habe den Cardstock einfach wild durch die Farben gezogen und sie dabei mehr oder weniger vermischt.

The background here is pretty simple - and when I look at the finished card now, I think, adding some splatters wouldn't have hurt...

I die cut the Save the Bees background by ModaScarp from a piece of white cardstock. Then I did some ink smooshing with Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge to color a piece of watercolor cardstock. I had those colors left on my glass mat from coloring the honey jar and simply put the cardstock through the ink, mixing it more in a few areas and less in others.

Hier ist der süße Honigbär, der ein Stempel aus einem neuen Stempelset ist. Da er farblich zum Rest der Karte passen sollte, habe ich ihn in gelblichem Braun coloriert. Die süße Mütze, die mich fast ein wenig an einen Schlumpf erinnert, habe ich dunkelbraun gemacht. Zum Colorieren habe ich Copics verwendet. 

Der Honigtopf ist mit einer No-Name Stanze gemacht - auch hier habe ich alle Lagen aus Watercolor Cardstock gestanzt. Zwischen der vollflächigen Stanze und dem dünnen Rahmen sowie auf dem Glasdeckel befindet sich jeweils ein Stanzteil aus Acetate, damit alles schön glas-artig aussieht.

Den Honigtopf und den oberen Teil samt herabtropfendem Honig habe ich mit den oben bereits erwähnten Farben und einem Pinsel eingefärbt. Für den Glasdeckel habe ich Salvaged Patina verwendet und einen schmalen gelben Streifen hinzugefügt, als Reflektion des Honigs.

Auf das Label habe ich mit brauner Tinte das Wort Honig, ebenfalls aus dem neuen Stempelset, aufgestempelt.

Den herabtropfenden Honig habe ich dick mit Glossy Accents überzogen, damit er schön glänzt. 

Als Deko habe ich dann etwas braunes Twine um den Honigtopf gewickelt und zur Schleife gebunden. Außerdem habe ich ein paar Gänseblümchen, gemacht mit Stanzen aus dem Little Flowers Set von LawnFawn und dem Kleine Blüten Set von Create a Smile, aufgeklebt.

Here's the cute honey bear, that's one image from one of the new stamp sets. I wanted him to match the other colors on this card so I picked some yellow-ish brown to color him in. The hat, that reminds me of a smurf's hat, I colored a dark brown. I used Copics for my coloring.

The honey jar is a no name die - again I die cut all layers from watercolor carsdtock. Between the solid jar and the thin frame and also on top of the lid I put some acetate to make it look like glass.

The honey jar and the upper part including the dripping honey I colored with the already mentioned colors and a brush. For the lid I used Salvaged Patina and added a thin strip of yellow ink as a reflection of the honey.

Onto the label I stamped the word honey with brown ink.

The dripping honey I covered with a thick layer of Glossy Accents to make it shiny.

As decoration I wrapped some twine around the honey jar and tied it to a bow. I also added a few daisies, cut using dies from the Little Flowers set by LawnFawn and the Kleine Blüten set by Create a Smile.

An den oberen Rand der Karte habe ich meinen Text geklebt. Der ist aus dem Set Hasengrüße von Stampcorner - ich habe nur die Anordnung auf einzeilig geändert. Er ist mit weißem Embossingpulver auf braunen Cardstock embosst. Und weil hier oben kein Sechseck im Hintergrund ist, die Stelle aber so leer war, habe ich aus einer Stelle des Hintergrundes, der später vom Honigtopf verdeckt wird, ein kleines Sechseck gestanzt und oben links auf den weißen Cardstock geklebt. Quer darüber kam dann mein Text.

Along the top edge of my card I added the text - it means "you're sooo sweet". I white heat embossed it onto brown cardstock. And since thebackground die does not cut a hexagon in the top left area but it looked too plain I simply cut a small hexagon from a spot in the yellow background, that will be covered by the jar later, and attached that to the white cardstock. Then I put the sentiment across it.

Ich habe den weißen Cardstock mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den gelb eingefärbten Watercolor Cardstock geklebt und dann die Deko, ebenfalls mit 3D Tape, obenauf geklebt. Als Deko habe ich einige braune Herzen hinzugefügt und dann alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I attached the white cardstock onto the yellow inked watercolor cardstdock using thin foam tape, then added my decorations, again using foam tape. Then I added a few small brown hearts and adhered the card panel to a white card base.

Today I am sharing with you the card I made for the LawnFawnatics challenge #171. They have a Bingo chart for us this time and I was kind of overwhelmed because there are 5 rows both vertically and horizontally. So much to choose from. Here is the chart:

Ich war ja kurzzeitig versucht, eine Kart zu probieren, auf der alle Parameter vorkommen. Aber das war dann  doch zu viel. Und so habe ich mich dann für die O-Spalte, also interaktiv, 3D Pads, happy, Mäuse und Glitzer entschieden. Hier ist nochmal die Karte:

I was really tempted to make a chard including each of the parameters. But that seemed a bit too much. And so I went with the O column, so it's interactive, foam squares, happy, mice and glitter. Here's my card again:

Das Wetter die letzte Woche hat mich schier verrückt gemacht - typisch April eben. Aber das hat mich wohl beim Thema meiner Karte beeinflusst. Und so machen die kleinen Mäuse eben das beste aus dem nächsten Regenschauer und spielen in einer Pfütze.

Ich habe hier den Rraindrop Backdrop aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt. Da ich nur die Landscape Version habe, habe ich per Partial Diecutting die Regentropfen zweimal untereinander gestanzt - zum Glück widerholt sich das Muster, so dass das kein Problem war - und den Cardstock dann in Portrait-Form zugeschnitten. Dann habe ich ihn mit Distress Oxide Stormy Sky und Faded Jeans gewischt.

Von hinten habe ich ein Stück aqua-farbenen Cardstock geklebt und die Regentropfen dann mit Glossy Accents gefüllt. So glänzen sie schön. 

Auf den Hintergrund habe ich dann erst einen Zaun, davor Gras und dann eine Straße geklebt. Der Zaun ist mit der Picket Fence Border aus weißem, das Gras aus grünem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich beides mit Copics schattiert und direkt auf den Himmel geklebt. Die Straße davor besteht aus einem Stück schwarzen Cardstocks, aus dem ich einen Mittelstreifen gestanzt und weiß hinterlegt habe. Für etwas Struktur habe ich schwarze Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

The weather the last week drove my crazy - typical april weather. But I seems like it also influenced me when picking the theme for my card. So this little mice make the best of the next rain shower and play in the puddles.

I die cut the Raindrop Backdrop from white cardstock here. Since I only own the landscape version I did some partial diecutting to die cut the pattern twice under each other - luckily the pattern repeats so that was quite easy - and then cut the cardstock to a portrait format. I inked it with Distress Oxide Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans and glued a piece of aqua colored cardstock behind it. Then I filled the raindrops with Glossy Accents to make them siny.

Onto the background I adhered a fence, some grass and a sidewalk/road. I die cut the fence from white cardtock using the Picket Fence Border, the grass from green cardstock and shaded both with Copics. The road is made from a piece of black cardstock that I cut some middle lines into and put white carstock behind it. To add some structure to it I added splatters of black metallic watercolor.

Auf den oberen Teil des Himmels habe ich Wolken geklebt. Die sind mit mit dem Spring Showers Stanzenset aus hell- und mittelgrauem Cardstock gemacht. Die dunkleren Wolken habe ich direkt auf den Hintergrund geklebt, die helleren auf den Rahmen, den ich später um die Szene geklebt habe. Den habe ich mit mit einer der Stitched Rectangle Frames Stanzen aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und ebenfalls mit Stormy Sky und Faded Jeans gewischt.

Onto the upper half of my card I added some clouds. I die cut those with the Spring Showers die set from light and middle grey cardstock. The darker ones I attached directly to the sky, the lighter ones to the frame, that I put around my scene later. I die cut that from white cardstock using one of the Stitched Rectangle Frames and inked it with Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans again.

Und im unteren Teil meiner Karte ist dann richtig was los. Aus weißem Cardstock habe ich den Stitched Umbrella gestanzt und mit Copics coloriert. Ich habe einen zweiten Regenschirm - also zumindest den eigentlich oberen Teil - gestanzt, hellgrau coloriert und etwas nach oben versetzt hinter den ersten geklebt, so dass ein dreidimensionaler Look entsteht. 

Im Regenschirm tummeln sich jede Menge Mäuse, die ich aus allen möglichen Sets "zusammengesammelt" habe. Es war auf jeden Fall das Bubbles of Joy, das Super Star, das Simply Celebrate Critters, das Veggie Happy, das Sew Very Mice und das Really High Five Set involviert - für Vollständigkeit übernehme ich aber keine Haftung. Zwei der Mäuse halten einen kleinen Regenschirm bzw. ein Windrad aus dem Elephant Parade Add-On Set in der Hand, die beiden stehenden Mäuse außen tragen Gummistiefel. Die haben sie sich von einem der Bären aus dem Beary Rainy Day Stempelset geliehen. Aus dem sind auch die Wassertropfen.

Die große Pfütze habe ich mit dem See aus dem Swan Soiree Set gemacht. Sie ist mit Distress Ink Salvaged Patina gestempelt und zwar so, dass die Farbe außen ein klein wenig dunkler ist. Dann habe ich auch ihn - genauso wie die Regentropfen - erst mit Glossy Accents überzogen und später noch ein wenig Stickles aufgetragen. 

Quer über/auf den Regenschirm habe ich dann meinen Text geklebt. Der obere ist aus dem Set Beary Rainy Day, der untere aus dem Set  Rain or Shine Before 'n Afters. Ich habe sie mit Lobster Ink von LawnFawn auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt und schwarz gemattet. Hier findet sich natürlich das im Bingo geforderte happy.

Oben auf dem Griff am Regenschirm sitzt noch ein kleiner Frosch aus dem Beary Rainy Day Set. Den brauchte ich für meinen interaktiven Teil.

In the lower part of my card there's a lot going on. From white cardstock I die cut the Stitched Umbrella and colored it with Copics. I die cut a second umbrella - at least the normally upper part - again, colored it a light grey and glued it behind the red one, moving it a bit up, to create a more dimensional look.

In the umbrella a lot of mice are having fun, that I picked from a lot of different sets. There were the sets Bubbles of Joy, Super Star, Simply Celebrate Critters, Veggie Happy, Swe Very Mice and Really High Five involved but I might have forgotten to mention a set here.... Two of the mice are holding a small umbrella/a pinwheel from the Elephant Parade Add-On set in their little hands, the two mice standing in the puddle are wearing rubber boots. Those they borrowed from one of the bears from the Beary Rainy Day set. From this set I also used the water splashes/drops.

The big puddle I made using the lake from the Swan Soiree set. I stamped it with Distress Ink Salvaged Patina, making the ink a bit darker around the edges. Then I covered it - and the water drops - with Glossy Accents, just like I did with the raindrops in the background, and later on added some Stickles.

Across/onto the umbrella I put my text. The larger one is from the Beary Rainy Day set, the smaller one from the Rain or Shine Before 'n Afters set. I stamped both with Lobster ink by LawnFawn onto white cardstock and matted them black. And here you can finde the happy, requested by the Bingo chart.

On top of the handle a little frog has found a spot to sit on. He's from the Beary Rainy Day set and I needed it for my interactive element.

Natürlich sitzen die Mäuse nicht einfach nur in dem Schirm - sie schaukeln auch ordentlich hin und her, denn auf einer Regenschirm-Spitze zu balancieren kann eine ganz schön wackelige Angelegenheit sein! Wahrscheinlich klammert sich deswegen die kleine Maus auch so fest am Stiel fest...

Der Mechanismus ist recht einfach - ich habe in die Straße ein Loch gestanzt und runde Foam Pads, auf der Rückseite auf einem Kreis befestigt, hindurchgesteckt. auf denen ist der Regenschirm befestigt. Die Straße habe ich dann mit dünnerem 3D Tape befestigt. 

Auch hinter dem Frosch befindet sich etwas 3D Tape, dessen andere Seite ich mit Cardstock beklebt habe, so dass es nicht mehr klebrig ist. Und auch hinter den Regenschirm-Stiel habe ich ein kleines Stückchen davon gesetzt, damit der nicht durchhängt. 

Die graue Wolke links ist ebenfalls mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt, das Tape hinter dem Frosch sorgt dafür, dass der Schirm sich nicht weiter drehen kann. Auf der anderen Seite sorgt das Ohr der Maus ganz rechts, das am Tape hinter dem Rahmen ansteht, dafür, dass der Schirm stoppt. 

Of course the mice are not just sitting around in the umbrella - they are also swinging left and right, balancing on the tip of an umbrella can be a very shaky thing to do! Guess that's why the little mouse in the center is clinging so hardly to the handle...

The mechanism is  a pretty simple one. I cut a small circle from the road and put round foam pads, backed with a slightly larger circle, through it. Onto those I adhered the umbrella. To adhere the road I used thin foam tape.

I put some more foam tape behind the frog, covered the other side with cardstock to make it non-sticky. And also behind the metal bar/handle I put some of that tape to keep it from sagging.

The grey cloud on the left I adhered with thin foam tape, the tape behind the frog is making sure that the umbrella isn't tipping more to the side. On the other side the ear of the mouse on the very right is taking over that job - it touches the tape I used to adhere the frame.

Wie schon erwähnt, habe ich auch den Rahmen mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt und auch hinter den beiden stehenden Mäusen befinden sich Foam Pads. 

Ich habe weitere Stickles auf die Wolken, die Wasserspritzer und die Regentropfen aufgetragen und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

As I mentioned already did I use foam tape to adhere the frame and I also put some foam pads behind the standing mice.

I added some more Stickles to the clouds, the water splashes and the raindrops and then glued my card panel to a white note card.

Im April-Release von Stampcorner gab es ja auch drei A7-Sets, und eines davon habe ich auf dieser Karte verarbeitet, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner-Blog zeige. 

Hello everyone!

In Stampcorner's april release there were also three A7 sized sets, and one of them I used on this card, that I'm sharing over on the Stampcorner Blog today.

Dieser kleine Bär ist aus dem Set Glücksbärli - und somit war klar, dass sich auch die Karte irgendwie um das Thema Glück drehen soll.

Für den Hintergrund habe ich mal wieder meine Nuvo Shimmer Powders hervorgeholt und zwei Stücke Watercolor Cardstock damit eingefärbt. Eines mit den Farben Maroon Sparks und Catherine Wheel, eines mit Golden Sparkler und Sunray Crossette. Damit habe ich dann zwei Lagen gestaltet.

This little bear is from the Glücksbärli set - and so it was clear, that also the card should have a luck related theme.

For the background I brought out my Nuvo Shimmer Powders and colored two pieces of watercolor cardstock with them. On one I used Maroon Sparks and Catherine Wheel, on the other Golden Sparkler and Sunray Crossette. I used those cardstocks to create two layers on my card.

Es ist immer so schwer, den tollen Schimmer der Powders auf einem Foto einzufangen. Hier habe ich es mal versucht und die Karte gegen das Sonnenlicht fotografiert.

Hier sieht man dann auch, dass ich den neuen Mini-Stencil Nr. 48 im Hintergrund eingesetzt habe - nur schimmernd-rot war der mit dann doch zu langweilig. Ich habe Versamark durch den Stencil aufgetragen und das Muster dann mit gold-glitzerndem Embossingpulver embosst. 

Anschließend habe ich noch weiße Acrylfarbe auf beide Cardstockstücke gespritzt.

It's so hard to catch the great shimmer of the powders on a picture. Here I tried it and took a picture with the card laying in full sunlight.

Here you can see that I also used the new mini stencil #48 on the background - just shimmery red seemed to be too plain. I applied Versamark through the stencil and then heat embossed the pattern with some golden glitter embossing powder.

Then I also splattered some white acrylic paint onto both cardstock pieces.

Den süßen Bären habe ich mit Copics coloriert und anschließend ausgeschnitten.

Dahinter habe ich einige der Blätter aus dem Happy Mushrooms Set von LawnFawn, gestanzt aus schwarzem Cardstock, verteilt. Dann habe ich den Kreis mit dem Herz aus dem selben Stempelset dreimal mit roter Tinte abgestempelt, ausgeschnitten und rund um den Bären verteilt.

Vom Zuschneiden des beschimmerten Cardstocks hatte ich zwei dünne Streifen übrig. Auf den goldenen Streifen habe ich ein paar mal das kleine Kleeblatt aus dem Ernestine-Set aufgestempelt, ausgeschnitten und ebenfalls rund um den Bären verteilt.

Aus dem roten Streifen habe ich ein schmales Oval gestanzt und es als Boden unter den Bären gesetzt.

I colored the cute bear with Copics and then cut him out.

Behind him I put some leaves, cut from black cardstock using the leave dies from the Happy Mushrooms set by LawnFawn. Then I stamped the circle with the heart three times with red ink, cut it out and put them around the bears. 

From cutting down my background papers I had a thin strip of each color left. Onto the golden strip I stamped the little clover from the Ernestine set several times, but them out and also placed them around the bear.

From the red cardstock strip I cut an oval and used as the ground under the bear.

Auch der Text ist aus dem Stempelset Glücksbärli - natürlich wird das Wort Glückstag normalerweise gestempelt. Aber ich wollte ihn mit der Viel-Glück-Sanze kombinieren. Also habe ich nur die übrigen Textteile mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst und ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich das Wort Glück mit besagter Stanze dreimal aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und die Teile aufeinander geklebt.

Auf dem goldenen Cardstock habe ich dann eine dünne Bleistift-Linie gezogen und die Glück-Stanze so darauf gelegt, dass nur die hohen Bögen über die Linie hinausragen. Dann habe ich den Rand der Stannze mit einem Bleistift nachgefahren und alles entlang der geraden Linien bzw. der Stanzenkonturen ausgeschnitten. So passte das Wort Glück von der Form her perfekt darauf. 

Also the text is from the Glücksbärli set - it means "it's your lucky day". Of course it gets stamped comepletly but I wanted to combine it with a die. So I only white heat embossed the rest of the text onto black cardstock and cut it out. The word "luck" I die cut three times from black cardstock and stacked them.

I used a pencil to draw a straight line across the gold cardstock, then placed the luck die on it, making sure only the loops are above that pencil line. I traced the edge of the die and cut the cardstock out along the straight line and the shaped of the die. This way the die cut word fits onto the edge perfectly.

Ich habe den goldenen Cardstock samt Bären mit dickem 3D Tape auf den roten Cardstock geklebt, hinter den Textstreifen befindet sich jeweils dünnes 3D Tape. Unten neben dem Text auf dem goldenen Cardstock habe ich noch zwei rote Herzen aufgeklebt.

Zum Schluss habe ich den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

I adhered the gold cardstock with the bear with thick foam tape onto the red cardstock, behind the text strips I put some thin foam tape. At the bottom I added two red hearts next to the text.

As the last step I matted the card panel black and adhered it to a white card base.
